  • Verdette Windsor Park Centre Manager

Kia Ora, I am Verdette. I have been part of the Small Fries journey since our doors first opened. My passion is to continue to build Small Fries as an early childhood centre where children develop a lifelong love for learning, and where they feel that they are loved and a valued part of the greater community. Supporting you as parents on this journey is just as important to me. Our Small Fries whānau (family) is a great place to call home! I am married to Schalk, we have two adult children Etienne and Wiané. In my spare time, I enjoy walking & playing scrabble with friends.

  • KATE | Staff Development Manager

Kia Ora! My name is Kate and I have been working at Small Fries since it opened in 2012. I have been working in the ECE sector for over 15 years and have spent time in all the age groups. Over the past few years at Small Fries I have been the Team Leader of the Tui room working with 2 & 3 year olds.  This year I am excited to move into the role of Teacher Development Manager. This role sees me working closely with all of our teachers observing, giving feedback and ensuring that our wonderful teachers are supported to create the best learning outcomes for all the children and their families. I am also working closely with the Centre Manager Verdette to support and help her in any way I can.

  • Debbie | Administration & Reception

Hi, my name is Debbie. I worked for Windsor Park Baptist Church for 12 years as the Senior Pastor's PA, and soon after Small Fries opened I transferred across to become the Administrator/Receptionist. I love interacting with all of our Small Fries families everyday! I am married to John and have two adult sons, and two delightful grandsons. I enjoy watching sports and spending time with my family out on our boat cruising the Hauraki Gulf, visiting our favourite fishing spots.

  • Isabel | Administration Assistant

Hi, I'm Isabel. I moved to New Zealand in 2014 with my husband and two children. I have been relieving at Small Fries since 2015 and have worked throughout the centre in all the age groups, as well as in the kitchen. I am currently working full-time in Administration.

  • Josie | Cook

Hi, I'm Josie, the Cook at Small Fries Windsor Park. Cooking has always been a part of my life, and I am fortunate to be able to cook yummy, nutritional meals for these wonderful children. It's been interesting putting all of my cooking skills into practice and I am loving every minute of being part of the Small Fries family!

  • Pipi Room | Under 2's

The Pipi room is for infants starting from 3 months old. The room has lots of space to accommodate the developmental stages of rolling, crawling and walking. The environment is designed to help our littlest ones explore and develop at their own pace. We work alongside parents & whānau to help build consistent routines so that it's an easy transition from home to Small Fries. We have a wonderful team of teachers who provide love, respect & quality care for all who come through our doors!

  • Tui Room | 2 - 3½ years

The Tui room is for children aged approximately 2 years up to around 3½ years old. At this age, children begin to play more interactively with their peers. We focus on developing advanced social play skills, such as sharing and turn-taking. The children learn best when they play, explore and discover according to their interests. We create an environment where your child feels loved and safe to explore!

  • Preschool (Kea + Kakapo) | 3½ - 5 years

The Kea room hosts children from around 3½ years until they go to school at 5 years old or later. Our preschool program is fun filled and play-based, driven to give your children all of the opportunities needed to develop their skills to be ready for school. We are very proud of our transition to school successes. When you come for a visit our teachers will answer all your questions regarding the details of this preschool program!
