Meet our Pipi Room teachers:

The Pipi room is for infants starting from 3 months old. The room has lots of space to accommodate the developmental stages of rolling, crawling and walking. The environment is designed to help our littlest ones explore and develop at their own pace. We work alongside parents & whānau to help build consistent routines so that it's an easy transition from home to Small Fries. We have a wonderful team of teachers who provide love, respect & quality care for all who come through our doors!

  • Joanne/ Team leader

Kia ora, my name is Jo and I am very excited to be a part of the Small Fries team in the Pipi room. I have been teaching in early childhood for over 10 years and have a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and full teacher registration. My husband Trevor and I are originally from Wellington and are blessed with four children. We've been living in Auckland for over 20 years. I am passionate about the early years and believe an environment should be filled with an abundance of respect, positivity, care, love and laughter, where children are nurtured and able to grow and thrive into curious, confident explorers of their world! I am passionate about learning children’s home languages as well as learning my own children’s language of Samoan. I am excited to get to know our families and children!

  • Bonnie

Kia Ora, my name is Bonnie. I have been working alongside children since 2012 and I've really enjoyed every single moment of it! I believe that children are the most precious gift for all families. I have a beautiful boy, Nelson, who gives my husband and I the greatest joy in our life. I am very passionate about learning and providing children with different experiences that will teach them skills in order to become competent and confident, lifelong learners. In my leisure time I love spending time with my family, having a walk on the beach and park, baking or playing some games with my boy.

  • Kylie

Kia ora, I'm Kylie. Born in South Africa, raised in New Zealand. My husband and I have 2 children. We live on the North Shore and love spending our time drinking good coffee and exploring the outdoors. We are so thankful that we consider Small Fries as apart of our whānau, which I have been apart of since 2019. Both my children attend, and we love being able to see them thrive and be loved here at Small Fries.

I have worked in the ECE industry for 10 years and am now half way through studying my degree in Early Childhood.  I believe that children are a true blessing from God, and each child should be treated as such. Their individuality, strength and character can be heavily influenced by us as Kaiako( teachers), and it is incredibly important to me to be respectful, nurturing and loving towards those in my care.

  • Stella

    Kia Ora, Hello, 你好 Everyone,

My name is Stella and I am an ECE registered teacher. I am so glad to join our lovely Pipi Room. I love children and I believe they are precious and unique. For under twos, I strongly believe that loving, trustful and respectful relationships are fundamental to our infants and toddlers’ development and learning.

Eight years ago, I came from China to New Zealand with my family to seek knowledge and experiences in early childhood education. Now we have all settled here and I am happy to be able to use what I’ve learned to better understand our children and give them and their whanau better support.”
