  • Yvonne/ Team leader

Hi, my name is Yvonne. I have been part of the Kea teaching team since October 2018. I moved to New Zealand in 2018 from South Africa where I taught in the Early Childhood sector. I have a Bachelor of Education degree (Honors) specializing in Early Childhood Development, and enjoy true job satisfaction when engaging with children. I am fascinated with the miracle of child development - much like watching a delicate plant grow from seed. I believe, as a teacher, I am able to provide the "water, sunshine and nourishment" to encourage growth, but stand back in  awe of God's handiwork as I see each individual child blossom into a rare, unique individual. I count it a blessing to be able to witness this each day here at the centre.

  • jinwon

Hi, my name is Jinwon Min and I am from South Korea. I gained my qualification (Graduate Diploma in Teaching ECE) at the new Zealand Tertiary College in 2013. Since then I have worked with children. I believe that children are gifts from God and I enjoy being with them. That is the reason why I believe that working for and with children is my calling. When I have spare time I go for walks, read books and meet up with my friends.

  • Claire

Kia Ora. My name is Claire Robinson. I completed a Bachelor of Education (ECE) degree at Auckland University of Technology in 2019. I have a true passion and desire for teaching children. I view teachers to be like a gardener, where my role is to nurture the young minds of children and create an environment where they can flourish. In my spare time I enjoy playing soccer, learning the guitar and ukulele and spending time with friends and family.

  • Vivian

    Kio Ora/Ni Hao/Hello

I’m Vivian from Kea Room. I am from Beijing, China and have been in New Zealand for two years. I am going to complete my Graduated Diploma in Early Childhood Education in May 2020.

I believe that children are the future of our world. Every child is unique. As an early childhood teacher, I believe my responsibility is to lay the foundation for children to become lifelong learners. That is why I choose to become an ECE teacher. I really enjoy working with Tamariki, their family/Whanau and our staff. I commit that I will use what I’ve learnt to ensure that children develop holistically and have a happy day.

I began my journey with Small Fries in Kea room in October last year. I am thankful to work in such a lovely, warm, caring, positive environment and alongside the Small Fries teachers.

Plus, I look forward to working with you and meeting you, your children and your family.
